When it comes to rap these days, common opinion seems to fall under one of two categories:
    First - Rap sucks
Second - OMG Eminem is teh best! (Or others along those lines)
I am here to show the third, uncommon, option. The Underground. The rappers who are out there, living life trying to spread a message. I'm talking about artists like Immortal Technique, the man who introduced me to the underground, Lowkey, Vinnie Paz, Diabolic, etc. Many of these rappers go unnoticed in today's society of Mainstream music, and are generally frowned upon by those who do take notice. I wish to know the opinions of the forum. If you have never heard of these artists, then allow me to make one recommendation for the four I listed previously. The 4th Branch - Immortal Technique. Terrorist? - Lowkey. End of Days - Vinnie Paz. Frontlines - Diabolic.
    Thank you for your time

P.S. I would also love to hear of other underground artists you know of. Particularly those who carry a "revolutionary" vibe to them.

Did you listen to any of the artists I mentioned? Clearly not if you are questioning it.

Well, this is the part where I say "to each his own". Personally I hate this rap that is just "kill, sell cocaine, fuck women, repeat". I am asking, in this post, about underground rap in general, but I wanted to know any other "revolutionary" artists specifically.

Haha, you want a Revolutionary rap? Dead Prez. Socialist rap that is. Otherwise, get in to the old school. If you want to listen to the "real life" then listen to Mobb Deep, listen to Wu-Tang, listen to Nas, listen to Jay Z in him prime, listen GZA, listen to Big L, listen to MF Doom, listen to Taleb Kwali, listen to NWA.

Then, when you have enough about killing, drugs and generally depressing shit listen to New era rappers. Listen to Elzhi, listen to Black Milk, listen to Phat Kat, listen to Fashawn, listen to Blu, listen to Royce da 5'9", listen to T3, listen to A.B. And then find your own shit to listen to. Also, hit up Infinite - Eminem to listen to the greatest flow on the planet. And Forbidden Chapters - Its Da. You can't go more underground than that rap geoup.
