I've always thought that these kinds of games lend themselves to lets playing. Stalin's commentary is fantastic, so I thought that it would be a good idea to start another one. Now, with all of the LP's he's doing at the moment it would obviously be impossible, but Silent Hill: Downpour comes out in March.
They are fun to watch, especially when Stalin gets scared (well, jumps at something). Plus it's a good change of pace from RTS. Having recently watched Grim Fandago 'cos it was reposted or something, i'd say another old-type game would be good. Maybe not quite so old, but at least a couple of years.
Sometimes I feel like RTS' are a little too fast paced for an LP. Sometimes grand strategy games are too slow paced at times. I feel like survival horror and older games provide a nice balance which Stalin's commentaries mesh well with.
I'm afraid i've changed my mind; Stalin's news that he'll be getting a 'capture card' means that we already have a good LP to go in the place where a survival horror would be. To steal Stalin's phrase, i'm totally stoked about the idea of a Heavy Rain Let's Play. Of course, console recording opens up all sorts of possibilities for a survival horror LP. Can't wait.
