Yea it's pretty ridiculous. Our season doesn't even start until March. Ok cool, I'm looking forward to this. Also I think 4.0 has been released for death and taxes if you guys still want to play with that. Also I just found the MEIOU mod which looks pretty cool, I havent played it yet though, have any of you?
Well for these two mods you just put a folder in your mods folder so I think you'll be able to handle that
Indeed, 4.0 has been released, I have it installed and I think I'll play a bit of it in a sec. It had quite a long changelog. As for MEIOU, I've never played it myself, so I can't tell you anything. EU3 is probably the easiest game to install a mod on. Just drag the .mod file and the mod's folder, and put them into the "mod" folder in your EU3 directory.
If you installed it from Steam, it should be in something along the lines of: Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\europa universalis iii - complete\mod. If the "mod" folder doesn't exist, you can add it yourself.
I would like to join but I have just downloaded the game and I am abosultely horrible. Would you be so kind to let me join you? I only have time on the weekend and parts of the week.
I will tomorrow. So the 2 mods I need are death and taxes and what does MEIOU stand for? If you could also point me in the direction of where to download these that would he awesome.
We aren't sure which one we are going to play with. They are both total overhauls so they are not compatible. I think MEIOU stands for Mihi est Imperare Orbi Universo, its just the name of the mod. Death and taxes:http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...rs-Ideas-Unique-Missions-Decisions-and-More!) MEIOU: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?374981-MEIOU-DOWNLOAD...-find-the-links-here MEIOU has a slightly more complex install and since we don't know which one we'll be playing with yet Id hold off on installing MEIOU just in case it messes something up. Death and taxes you just have to drop in the mod folder if you want to try it out, I havent really played it much myself
Thanks for the links. I will try to download MEIOU. I'm guessing it is a file that needs to be unzipped.
No you have to edit some stuff with the game, there are instructions on the page if you want to try it. But it might not allow you to play multiplayer if you've done it and we haven't. It shouldn't but there's always a chance, if it does you would just have to reinstall the game so it's no big deal
So when is a good time to organize this. I won't be able to play on weekdays unless I don't have anything to do. Plus, are we playing vanilla or with mods because I can't get mods on this.
We'll probably be doing it around 2-3 pm your time on Saturdays. I posted a thing on the steam group for people to post whether they want mods or not and what times are good but so far only one person has responded. What are you having trouble with when installing the mod? I can try to help you install it.
It's just that I can't find the files of my EU3 game in my hard drive. And I spent a good 30 min combing through it. The game is good vanilla, so there won't be much of a problem.
I was actually planning on making a tutorial video on this, as multiple people have asked me about it. As for the Steam thingy, I hadn't noticed it yet, so I'll go check that out right now. Oh, and even if we're going to do vanilla, we'll still need clean installs to not get trouble with checksums.
Ok guys seems like weekends around 7pm GMT will be good for everyone, Rico just tell us when you've got your room and we'll set a concrete time. Also I think we'll do Death and Taxes mod. If anyone needs help installing it I'd be happy to help or looks like UnitRico would help too.
Ok guys, I posted this on steam too but just in case you miss it, I want to shoot for the weekend after this coming up one for our first game. Would that be ok for everyone? Also, even if its not everyone should install the Death and Taxes mod so we can sort out any bugs and stuff beforehand. Also a bit off-topic but whens the release of Crusader Kings II? I thought it was the 7th but on Gamersgate it says it's the 14th
