    The Quasi-War was an undeclared war fought mostly at sea between the United States and French. It started when the French navy began seizing American ships trading with Britain. In April 1798, President Adams informed Congress of the "XYZ Affair", in which French agents demanded a large bribe for the restoration of diplomatic relations with the United States. The war ended in 1800 when Napoleon took over France.

    We did a unit on Western Europe and our teacher didn't so much as mention WW2 so....does that count? :lol:

    Yes this was the biggest war ever in South America, where the Paraguayans lost a lot of their population because of Solano López's crazy drafting to simply have a chance of fighting Brazil's Fatherland Volunteers (Voluntários da Pátria) raised by our Emperor.
