It was mostly unpopulated and it would stay that way until the gold rush.

Still it shouldn't be in here, lots of people know about it.

But putting some thought in it...If the Mexicans never lost the war, we may never have had an attack on Pearl Harbor. =O

You know Hawaii was annexed by the United States as a territory in 1898. It had nothing to do with the Mexican American War. Now if Mexico won it would of been harder to annex Hawaii but it still could of been done.

On what justification? Mexico could have done the same.

Mexico could of done the same or Europeans could of. I'm just stated that the US winning the war agianst Mexico had nothing to do with Hawaii. In real history The Kingdom of Hawaii was sovereign from 1810 until 1893 when the monarchy was overthrown by resident American (and some European) businessmen. It was an independent republic from 1894 until 1898, when it was annexed by the United States as a territory, becoming a state in 1959.

I know. To me if Mexico did win the war to me the biggest affect that would happen is would the US Civil War happen?
After the US won the war the government would have to figure out if the new land would be free or slave and that would start up violence that would lead to the civil war.
