No, it's not the title of a new game. I just figured we should have a thread about the Hitman games 'cos Stalin mentioned it on the Skyrim Let's Play. I love the Hitman games, never actually played the first one (apparently it's Hitman: Contracts but not in flashback). Despite it being entirely about killing for money, I don't think i've come across any game which presents itself in such a refined way. I mean, 47 gets angry about once in five games. Plus there's the suit and soundtrack. Therefore, i'm not too pleased that they've dropped the guy who's always done 47's voice (and provided the basis for his face), as well as the woman who's always been Diana, and the man responsible for the game's music. Also, Hitman: Blood Money was the first game to feature any missions in the US. Now, Hitman: Absolution is set entirely in the US. If I was a total prick, i'd say they've sold out. Anyway, here's hoping it's still an excellent game!
For one, I think you underestimate the diversity of the United States, two I agree, David Bateson was modeled as 47, and it should've remained him. Also, the soundtrack is going to change because Jesper Kyd is currently working on the Assassins Creed series, And Hitman:Codename 47 is not "contracts but not in flashback" it's a completely, different beast than the other ones, and personally, my 3rd favorite of the series (1. Silent Assassin 2. Contracts)
Yeah, almost certainly, it's just that there aren't that many games that feature as many places as Hitman has. Blood Money proves you can get more than enough variety staying within America, well, as long as they have a wider selection of NPCs this time. Everything else I blame on trying to avoid making my post a massive wall of text! Oh, and i'd say Silent Assassin is my favourite as well, if only because it was the first one I played and the cheats were hilarious (once i'd played it properly of course).
Ahh, Hitman. You can't imagine how wierded out I was at the mission where you could put chloroform on the woman's panties so the guard would become unconscious when he came along to sniff them. Good times. The next game looks amazing, by that I mean the ~35 minutes of gameplay footage that has been released gives me very good impressions, gameplay wise as well as graphically. Critics' comments on extended gameplay demos have also been mostly very positive.
