And yes thing will get better in Mexico, although not in the short run but if what economic factors are saying the Mexican system will be able to sort through all this, though until that happens (late 2010s-2030s) the nation will have to and will always continue to deal with drug cartel pressure which the current administration of the PAN under president felipe calderon has done a horrible job at this as of late, evidence by increased pressure on mexico city. although when the Institutional revolution party comes into power in the 2012 general election, then the great Enrique Pena Nieto will fix everything. LONG LIVE THE INSTITUTIONAL REVOLUTIONARY PARTY. Although recent evidence has shown more favor to the Party of the democrat revolution (way more socialist then the PRI) My guess is the PRI will win in 2012, however the democrat revolution party will be a huge force, though Nieto seems generally well liked.
Mexico must not fall under the PRI again The PDR has to win if the recent events haven't shown the mexican people what must be done then I fear there will only be more death and suffering, all the PRI is doing is shifting nationalism towards the US state to blind its own people from the horrors and corruption that is plaguing the country however with the coalition the PDR signed with the Labour party and Convergence they might win and maybe mexico will bounce back. Edit: also dont you ever mention the PRI in a positive light to me again.
