"You know why Belgium has pedophiles and Finland has Savoians (=people of Savo[my own weird/random translation]). Because Belgium got to choose first." -A joke
Ha so If the Dutch went to war with Belgium today with both sides getting no assistance, who would win.
If that happened in the 1860's Belgium could have won, because Belgium (although smaller than the Netherlands) had a larger population, bigger army, better officers, and an actual invasion plan. However, I think the Netherlands today would have a decent chance of winning a war against the Belgians, because the Flemish (the Dutch speaking Belgians that make up about 60% of the Belgian population) will probably join us and turn against the rest of Belgium.
The Dutch would win, hands down. Belgium has had a lot of internal problems over the last few years, with the Flemish and Wallonians increasingly wanting to split up. An invasion would probably mean rebellion, and in the end, I suspect the Dutch would annex Flanders and leave Wallonia to itself, who in turn would want to join France.
Well, seeing as it's the "capital of the EU", making it an independent city to represent that would be quite interesting. Liege would be the capital of Wallonia, and Antwerp or Bruges would be the capital of the Dutch province of Flanders. Then, finally, the Belgians would stop pestering the Dutch about clearing that water body that leads to Antwerp (Westerschelde? Not sure), as they'd be part of the Netherlands, with Rotterdam being the main harbour.
Luxembourg has nukes and their Industrial Strength is unmatched. Also they can conscript a fearsome army.
That's because everyone living in Belgium cant not mask the shame they would fell for entirety if they admit the Dutch are master race, although its true.
Yep, pretty much. They could be part of it and strengthen us with their excellent beers, but they're too proud of their waffles and crappy roads, it seems.
