    Yes, there are. The one that is most visible (and most successful) is the Vermont Progressive Party. They have around 7 seats in both the upper and lower houses of the state legislature there, and run the mayoralty of Burlington (the largest city in the state).     I think there are other social democratic/progressive parties locally in other states, but none have been as successful as Vermont's.
