Anybody notice how all those riots make little news, but the situation in Syria makes all the frontlines?

In any case, Democracy at its best.

So if it collapsed does that mean wallachia is going to rise again, and to my Orthodox brothers get your economies together. Although this is going to really help out the newly formed Social Liberal Party to which I wonder how good they will do come this election, although I expect the Social democratic party to win in the end. Although judging by this article the people of Romania are very critical of the current state, personally they should just vote Vlad the Impaler into office. And with this Im skeptical if Romania will be accepted into the Eurozone.

Or we could see the return of this

Hopefully they won't reanimate Ceausescu's corpse.

The King of Romania is still alive, maybe they elect him as PM. Like Bulgaria did. (Just a crazy thought, you know.)

I hope the nationalists won't win becouse of what I've seen in youtube comments are not promising.
Also turning to the IMF when you are in depth is a shitty idea becouse they are just going to want their money back later with some extra payment.
I don't know about IMF's deal with Romania but with Hungary somehow they aquired rights to mine and get land from the government if they can't repay the loan which is a load of bull.

Yeah becouse Syria has moar oil.

Yeah, well if you start making the victims pay for the perpetrators mistakes then you'll have to expect some resistance. But meh, even though I got no actual evidence to back this up I predict that either some right populist group will take control and institute an even harscher neo-liberal regime, or the European institutions are just gonna put an unelected official in charge.

Poor Ronald. His homeland is in shambles. To think this could have all been avoided by switching over to the goat standard.

I hope Romania becomes a democratic republic. It would be interesting to see a country in europe who has a president.

    How so?

And since when are you in charge of determining what countries are important and which are not?
