I think the biggest takeaway from this is that conservative voters are still looking for a strong conservative candidate rather then a more centrist based one. The ironic thing about this is Romney lost in 08 more or less because he was painted as too conservative to carry the general election

Absolutely agree. It seems like so many Republicans are still holding their nose to Mittens, whether it be due to his record in Massachusetts, his Mormonism, or his general lack to charm the socks off voters (just watch him try to make an audience sing together with him...it's eye-cringing). For a lot of conservative evangelical Republicans, Santorum seems like the one to represent their values the best. Even if he's Catholic, Santorum speaks their language of family values, pro-life, and a foreign policy that plays tough on other actors. Thankfully for Democrats, Santorum is easy prey due to his highly polarizing views on abortion and homosexuality.

Even if Mittens gets the nomination, I suspect the Republicans will be far from enthusiastic in supporting him. In the end, when November rolls around and people go into the polling booths, a lot of Republicans will think "okay, I guess so" and check Romney's name. Will Mittens' amber waves of grain overcome Obama? Judging from how it's going now, it doesn't look like it.

    Oh the Canada Party....

Whenever I think of Romney, I always now have to think of this:

    "happy stepchild!"

Santorum isn't a very good candidate, but I would take him over Romney.

Republicans dislike Romney for a number of reasons. He has a history of flip flopping. He once bragged he was more Liberal than Ted Kennedy. The Mormon thing doesn't bother me much, but it is a turn off to some. Mostly its his record that hurts him as well as his religion. Also many believe he is a Corporate Raider. Perry always said he practiced Vulture Capitalism as opposed to Venture Capitalism. He tends to brag about the jobs he was supposed to have created as the CEO of Bain Capital yet there is a lot of info that suggests he aggressively stole peoples jobs. I would also like to mention that he is worth 287 million dollars, but he only gave 1.5 to charity and it was for a tax reduction. The main reason for his success is all the money and party support. Last night you all saw what happens when Romney doesn't have time to use his money...

Jon Huntsman is cool. He is the superior Mormon, just like Rick Perry is the superior Rick, just like Herman Cain is the superior Pedophile, and just like Ron Paul is the superior old guy.

Ron Paul is good. At least good by this election's standards.

Second best candidate? I'll agree. Even thought I tend to sway towards the more Conservative candidates, Ron Paul actually knows what he is doing and I believe he cares. Basically the same main reason I was/am with Perry. The only candidate that surpasses Paul in my opinion is Barrack Obama.

Also is anyone going to watch CPAC 2012 today? I stayed home from school to watch it.

Please let Santorum win over Romney. That'll give Obama an even easier time beating the shit out of the Republicans;)

If I could chose a Republican candidate it would be Donald Trump. The only real American alive.
