Well its not helping that (ecuador is it?) wants to cut it down because they found massive oil reserves there.
So, the Netherlands isn't social democrat at all. We have a populist right-winged party (under Geert Wilders) in power, and they are fucking up pretty bad.
We're currently not ruled by social democrats or socialists at the moment. Like most other EU/European countries now. But wasn't the free healthcare introduced in most western European countries by post-war social democratic governments?
