Downloaded this game, up to the scene called 'Cold War'. That Harry Potter lookalike is so awesome, I chuckled at some of the stuff he says. My only complaint at this stage is that it's too passive, you choose your responses very rarely.
Which path should I choose between Lily and Hanako? Also I thought to myself"Why isn't there an Anime for this game?" It would be amazing, and easy to direct and make.Becouse you have all the concept art for the characters and Hisao's narration and describing the situations and shit makes it easier to see how it should be in animated form.
I wish someone could port/remake it for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, because passing off cartoon images of a legless teenage girl having sex to my parents as "homework" is getting increasingly difficult...
Personally I did Hanako, Im going to do Lily when I find the time to do so, but flip a coin or go with what you would personally go with in that situation.
Somehow I got to the Emi path. Luckily I've got an older save not so far from the track scene. So I'll put Emi's path on a hiatus untill I finish the Hanako storyline. So far my favourite characters are Hankao,Lilly and Kenji(Of course...)also But I can't believe someone likes Rin.She is just so boring and she is just kinda there not doin anything other than having no arms and being boring.
Haven't played her story yet, but she does seem like an interesting person, in this weird kinda way. Was biting my tongue not to go with her on my first play. Spoiler - (I went with kenji instead)
Well the game only came out on January 4, 2012, so an anime by now would be utterly impossible. Also, the developer (4 Leaf Studios) has stated they have no further plans for KS, or to work together again, so I wouldn't expect anything out of them. The third major hurdle to an anime of KS would be the language barrier, since it was developed, produced, and released in English, and almost all animation studios (certainly all of them that would take on a project like KS) are Japanese. I don't think they've even released a Japanese translation patch for it yet, so that's obviously a huge barrier. I think that KS has a lot of obvious potential for an anime, but I don't think we'll ever actually see one for it. It depends on the Japanese response to the game. If it's positive, then an anime wouldn't be totally out of the question, but depending on the studio that picks it up we'd be seeing the Japanese air date in 2016 at the absolute earliest and English subs available by the end of that year. I'm pretty sure that there's quite a lot of controversy over the game in Japan already though, because of its name. Long story short: don't get your hopes up.
Unfortunately I think Kali is absolutely right about this. A KS anime would be good if they could capture the same things that made the game great but as Kali said, probably not gonna happen.
Actually Kali is right, sure it would be an interesting anime but at the current time I like it as is.
Either is fine. I flipped a coin to choose between Shizune and Lily, for instance. Really though, whichever you don't pick I recommend you save (Lily and Hanako are considered the best story lines by most people) . There will never be another Katawa Shoujo and it's depressing to have that realization hit you when you run out of options. The thing is that because each story is made by a different person the reflections of each character are different per each story line. This is largest in the Rin-Emi difference. Rin just seems like a dull waste of human life in Emi's story line. Also, Shizune is a complete asshole in Lily's story line. I mean, more than she is in her own story line. Really, you'll like Rin more once you play her. Although she wont be your favorite.
No, in fact on your first storyline you'll probably just end up falling into one without realizing it.
Oh dear lord are all paths as depressing as Hanako's one? When she got her panic attack I almost cried too.
