Well I really don't know what to tell you other then some times you do have to pay to get people to trade with you, but I do agree with you that you should take out the Pirates. Make sure to take the trade roots, but thats up to the Navy.

Sorry sly i fear i have to resign from the ministry of naval warfare. somme of my colleagues got sick and i have to work longer, so i leave the house at 6.00 am and return 10 pm i simply don't have the time right now.

Oh crap I forgot to tell you guys. I went on Darthmod and I noticed the regular empire total war music was playing. Then I tried to play the save game and it would just crash to the desktop. I did this multiple times to no avail. Then I tried to re-install Dartmod and get back up to where I was before, but it only played vanilla empire total war.
