I support military isolationalism, but to cut off foreign aid whilst maintaining a capitalist economy is a dick move. If you run into, and knocked over an elderly person on the street, you would at the very least help up, right?

Also, don't ignore the other points. The guy is a lunatic, with two or three semi-decent policies. Easily the most extreme Republican in the race.

Or we could just get to the root of the problem and accept that Libertarians are dumb.

    Gasp!

Actually, I agree. I find libertarian policy naive, especially in the area of foreign policy.

Ron Paul's policy views come from ideology, not politics, so of course they are extreme. You can't discredit him on the basis of that extremism alone, however, and he has adequate answers to all of those criticisms (you think he's not been challenged on every single one of these points before?). Whether or not you agree with him depends on how you envision the role of government.

Well, this might just be me, but I like to think I can have more personal liberties without my government sacrificing baseline equality and global influence. Maybe I'm just a radical. But the moral of the story is that you really have no reasoning to support Ron Paul unless you are a libertarian, and any liberal that does so is probably just dumb. His appeal is virtually zip to people to enjoy the status quo, excluding a few social issues. I don't get the irrational love for him.

I personally think that isolationism is rather stupid idea. If Ron Paul decides to go isolationist it just makes it easier for Canada to reach it's ultimate goal of by passing the U.S. as a financial superpower.

Wouldn't an isolationist USA = a economically drained Canada. Not waving the tradional "Wir nimbr 1, ect." flag, but isn't the United States Canada's largest importer of oil and other such products?

Yes, because believing in liberty is dumb. (irony) That was idiotic remark.

About Ron Paul: people may not agree with many of his policies, but he is the better candidate of the republicans and he is against the estabilishment, and he is in any way, better then Obama.

About the supposed racism, that as already been debunked. Ron Paul actually is worried of racism in courts, because in drug related cases, the % of balcks who go to prison or get more time in it is superior to the % of caucasians.

About his supposed isolationism, Ron Paul has constantly denied he is a isolationist. He believes that the US should not do military interventions in other countries and that the US military should not have bases around the world, because it is a waste of money.

The most extremist Republican is Santorum (he is against contraceptive methods). Ron Paul´s ideas actually goes against most of republicans.

As the first of the newly created political standpoint: socialist industrialist. I think i have a better view of these policies as i acknowledge the things that a system needs. Free education and healthcare is a must. Minimum wages and worker's rights are some of the best idea's ever thought of. Everybody has the right to have a job.

Ron paul's ideals will turn America into a prime target for invasion. All the armistices on war and human rights are linked to members of the UN. The UN won't care if he's isolationist, the other countries will assume we wants to escape the confines of the geneva convention if he pulls America out of it.
