Have you watched Cowboy Bebop yet? It's somewhat similar, but it's far better. Probably the best out there, certainly one of the best OSTs.

I'd agree with you, but I'd have to make the Akagi or Kaiji OSTs the best. They are absolute class. Evangelion OST is timeless, too.

The Hansel and Gretel arc was interesting, as was the Japan arc. Season 2 was far better, and season 1 was pretty good.

Berserk is set in medieval Europe. Not exactly like Spice and Wolf, but it's quite good all the same.

The thing I don't like about anime is its over expression. Everything is turned up to 11. Music. Facial expressions. There doesn't seem to be any subtlety.

    Wrong.

If you want modesty, watch anime like Mushishi. They aren't all over the top and ridiculous.

Anime isn't a genre, it's a medium. What you're saying is akin to saying that you don't like video games because there are guns in them, or that you don't like paintings because they aren't easy to understand.

I'm talking about common features in animes like the huge sweat drop, huge eyes etc. Wherever the common man sees them they usually have that in common (television, linked to YouTube videos by friends), which turns me off.

    Modesty is overrated.
