A guide to make a picture you want into a signature on NKVD

I put this up before than took it down by accident, now i thought id put it up again.


This is a guide to show you how to quickly and easily make a signature out of any picture you want.
Note: I did this on windows 7, it should work the same on XP, ill figure that out when I have the time.
Step One:
First you need to pick a picture, if its already on your computer that’s great, than you can go straight to step 2. If you don’t have it on your computer than all you need to do is find it on the internet, you should try to find it on “Imageshack’ as that will lessen the chance any problems will occur later on, if there isn’t one on imageshack than look it up on google. Once you’ve found your picture you need to right click on the image and choose the ‘save picture as” option and save it preferably on your desktop.

Step Two:
Once you have your picture you should open it with a program that can resize it, I used paint and it works perfect and it’s easy, however if you have another program you know how to use than that should be fine. Assuming you use paint, open the picture in paint. Then use the selection option and select the whole picture. Then move its borders to be the size you want (Note: a size restriction will be put in place soon so keep it small) I made mine 520X330 pixels (you can see this down the bottom under the picture) and even that is quite big, try to keep the vertical and horizontal in proportion so you can get the best quality image (try pick images with little detail, flags are a good example). Once you’ve made it a good size than you should have the picture the size you want it, and a lot of white around it from the ‘virtual paper’. Now move your cursor to the bottom right corner of the ‘paper’ and drag the borders until they are in line with those of your picture. Now save the picture somewhere you can find it easily.

Step Three;
Go onto google and look up imageshack,( if you already have an account on imageshack than you know how to upload a pic and can go to Step Four.). Pick the first option and it should take you here http://imageshack.us/. Than click browse (should be around the center) and find your picture. Now click “upload now” and wait for it to upload, it should only take a few seconds. Once you’ve uploaded youl get a page and on the left side it should say ‘Upload successful” and have a little preview of your pic. Click on that picture and it should take you to your pictures page.


Step Four:
Right click on your picture and choose copy image URL. Now go to the NKVD forums and go to your UCP.
Got to the profile part under options and choose edit “signature”. Now above the writing space there should be a bunch of buttons, you need to click the’ img’ one. You should get this in the writing space:
. Now in between those two bracsets right clikc and click paste so it should now look like this: . Well, now click preview and have a look if you are satisfied with that, than if you are click submit and you have a signature picture!!! If you aren’t satisfied if its too big than back to step two and change the size.

yeah every time I try and put the picture on the signature bit inbetween the brackets of 'img' and then press preview, all that is shown is a hollow box with an X at the top left, can you help?

I understand, but it was a common mistake, anyone could of done it, but i figured it out.
