I have just been arguing with someone over bias.

Basically, I claim that it is impossible to show bias on the following blog because it states a fact contrary to a statement and because it is completely impossible to develop an argument contrary to the facts show on the blog.

    The blog is this:

    http://storyoftheday.wordpress.com/2011/02/16/does-greece-produce-anything-2/

    Does anyone agree with me.

I think you'd have to be mentally deficient to think an an entire country does not produce anything.

Well let's see, he takes it up as a method to defend Greece so you can say there's inherent bias in the facts he's presenting. It's not that the facts themselves are wrong, but rather, that he's only presenting the facts that would lead the reader to the conclusion he wants...

But it is impossible, literally, to argue against it. It is impossible.

Everything is biased whether you know it or not. Sometimes it is very small, but it is still biased.

The bias doesn't lie in the facts but in the presentation of them.

Pretty much everything has some level of bias to it. Every news/media source, every history book, every government and person. Pedro is of course, an exception to this.

I do my best to speak in non-normative language (when I try to pass things off as fact, not when I'm speaking opinions) but everyone views the world through their own frame which influences (biases) how we think and speak

Don't we all have an inherent bias against bias?
