I definitely don't. I prefer to call them, "fads" or "trends" or "jokes". But what they are doesn't matter, as the general state of /v/ is vastly less retarded than reddit. /v/ is filled with avatar and tripfag circlejerking and offtopic shitposting, but it is not close to being that terrible. That said, the contents of reddi isn't some horrible abomination. It's a huge concentration of 12 year olds, and aside from meme spouting idiocy, they are normal people. You know not of what you speak. /a/ and /v/ are basically the same thing. /a/ is smaller, but they share a huge amount of their user base. The main difference is that /a/ discusses more video games than /v/ does. That said, /v/ and /vg/ are, on average, a lot better than /hipster/.
