So I was wondering how many of us console gamers that use multiplayer that if we use PSN or Xboxlive more and which is better. Speaking of which if you want to play BF3 OR MW3 with me on PSN just look up Lighthouse418. Tell me your name though here.
I like PSN but I have no experience with XboxLive. My only problem with PSN is that it can be unstable and can have long loading times not in games but checking messages and things like that.Other than that it's solid and relyable.
PSN. Simply because of the minimal frame drop and that from what i hear from some of my friends; it tends to be less laggy than the XBOXLive system. Though the attempt they made to compete with the XBOX reward system was pretty pathetic.
I tend to always have a good connection on XBL, I join Player Hosted matches fairly quickly on most games and all of these games run next to flawlessly with a few occurances here and there. But most of which is dependant on the games themselves. I've tried PSN on my cousin's PS3, I didn't like it. Aside from the controller being weird, I couldn't play BF3 really well, either it seemed to be a horrible day for PSN that day connection wise, or it's always a bit less solid than XBL. Also got to try out some PS3 only games. They were pretty neat, I found one that was just as horrible as CoD but with better looks, but I forgot the name of it.
Was it a PS3 exclusive? Then it was resistance 2 or 3 Also when I played CoD4 multiplayer on my friend's Xbox almost every lobby was hacked.
Yeah, that's what happens to the very old games (like two-five years) on Xbox. Whichever company is in charge of the games and the servers no longer cares for it and let's it go to Hell in a handbasket. Edit: I don't think that was it, it's a game which has as much or possibly more players on one server than Battlefield 3 for PC. And it played very similarly to CoD, as I've seen in the short time that I have been playing the game.
Don't own either, but from a observer's standpoint they both suck. PSN had that whole hacking thing and Xbox Live is spawned from the same hellhole that Games for Windows Live was.
