This isn't meant to serve your political campaign.

It's meant to be community wide initiative to bring life back into the forums.
It's not supposed to be grab for fame in this election.

    On a similar note,

Unfortunately, I've brought all of these ideas to the table, but for the next week or so, I'm going to be extremely busy with real world obligations, so I won't be active in the progress of these reforms, until next weekend at least.
    I'll be around, but sparsely.

I hope to come back as see a new vigor in the community at large.
I hope to see a YouTube channel for our community.
I hope to see a clan organizing itself for active campaigns.

Like I said, this isn't my private campaign for glory, this is my initiative to grow our forum.
Others need to step up and work for it too, collectively.

You and all other members should address and do these things regardless of who's tribune.
It's a community initiative to be lead by community leaders, not the tribune personally.

If you plan to use my proposals to promote your campaign for tribune, then I officially denounce you as a candidate.

Here's how we should organize the clan:

Every game is game for NKVD to take on. But only in the beginning. People suggest games in the NKVD thread a bit, and Stalin weighs his options. From there, Stalin (called the Overlord by Title) declares a Campaign on one of the games. It is the duty of all members of the Clan to join this Campaign however possible.

The Leader (we could have 2 leaders later but the clan is not in need of 2 as it is so small) will lead that Campaign. There lesser ranks will follow his orders and do whatever is needed to make the Campaign a success. Lesser ranks tend to be lumpable into two categories:

Foot soldiers - Grunts in the Clan.
Officers - Who are more respected Privates who have proven to be very active and dutiful.

The goal of a Campaign is to set up an active NKVD presence in that game. For instance, if there was a Campaign on TF2, all of the NKVD would join TF2. Then the NKVD clan would set up and become an entity in the Clan Community on TF2. This spot is preferable permanent. Each Campaign should last, give or take depending on the success of the Campaign, a 3-weeks so as to keep things interesting for the clanmembers.

After a Campaign is over, clan members who heartily enjoy the game are told to stay and given positions of power in that game's division. They are designed to maintain and expand the NKVD presence in that game, as well as bring fresh recruits to the NKVD. Fresh recruits from the NKVD's games are used to fund more Campaigns, which will produce a snowballing effect to increase the Clan's size to huge proportions over several months.

    This is our ranking system:

Overlord - Overlord will designate Campaigns and handle the appointment of Leaders. Overlord is Stalin.
Leader - Will lead Campaigns and appoint Post-Campaign Leaderships. Does some dirty work.
Second in command - Leads when there is no leader present and does some dirty work.
    (2) Third in Commands - Leads when there is no leader present and does the majority of the dirty work.

    ---------------- Officers

    General - High ranking Officer
    Colonel - Medium ranking Officer
    Major - Low ranking Officer

    ---------------- Privates

    Captain - High ranking Private
    Lieutenant - Medium ranking Private
    Private - Low ranking Private

The Officer and Private ranks could be further broken up as need be.

Most everyone will enter as a Private and work their way up by being active and loyal and otherwise. The Leader will appoint all ranks unless the Overlord over-rules.

No Vulcan, you see. We have no divisions yet. Each division will be founded when we complete a campaign. This'll stop us from getting 50 million divisions in games no one has ever heard of and have no intention of playing.

In short, I base it off of Ler's online gaming shenanigans were people went around playing fun games for a bit and then leaving. We played Wurm for a bit and got far. If we had twice as many people we would've gotten much farther. But as we left, many missed the game. Some thought the game was great and never wanted to leave. I think one or two people still play the game.

If we had the full might of the NKVD behind us, as well as a month to build up, we could become a major clan quite quickly. The few that wanted to stay could stay in positions of power and would survive off of the flowing in recruits to the settlement we had created.

Alex, one more campaigning message, and I will just blatantly delete it for spamming. Campaigning is done in the upcoming Campaign thread, not in the rest of the People's Assembly. This is serious business.

No hard feelings, I'm just really annoyed by all the spam you spew.

Kara that seems a little too bureaucratic, which was kind of the problem with the current system. The 'campaigns' idea is interesting though.

IF you post the videos of lets plays/succesful games with NKVD Members, or just Lets Plays from people in the NKVD, then we could gain publicity and possibly have another outlet for people to come into the site.

I agree. It's too complicated. I think we need to dumb it down a bit but keep the campaign idea.
