Is this a joke? Foster's is; a) a lager, not a beer; b) not bitter at all. It's often mocked for being too sweet.
30$ for some communist vodka? If that isn't exploitation of the working class, I don't know what is. Anyway, Ler, I recommend taking it easy when it's your first time. Have a couple of beers, not too much because you don't know yet how much you can handle. Alcohol takes a while to kick in, which may catch you off-guard. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to pour myself some whisky..
a) Here in the states lager is a type of beer as they're both brewed the same. Even the wikipedia page lists lager as a type of beer so I don't know what you're getting at. b) Really? I haven't had it in like 5 years but I remember it being very bitter/dark (as most lagers are) as opposed to lighter sweeter beers like I drink.
Fair enough on point a, although a distinction is usually drawn between lager and beer despite it technically being a form of beer. Beers tend to be more bitter than lagers. And on point b, I didn't know that you can get lighter beers than lagers. We have shandies here, which is beer/lager mixed with lemonade and that can be pretty light.
Yea it's weird, out lighter beers are usually pilsners, which I guess technically are lagers, but if you went up to a bar and asked for a lager you'd get a darker lager. If you guys have Harp (brewed by Guiness) that's pretty much what a "lager" is like here.
Just buy 24- pack and have fun. If it's your first time, you should have some people around to take care of you.
It was a while ago, but not three hours, about 1 and a half. Was alright but Ler wasn't drunk enough and his computer kept not responding.
