Yes, but there would also be the process of converting all the corporations and civil unrest would sky rocket. You would have seen the same thing in the USSR. They were brain washed into thinking Capitalism was evil. An ideology can't be evil, only the people who act on behalf of those ideologies are evil.

Both have their good and bad sides. These are what they are in my eyes:
Capitalism relies on being an individual and if you have a service in your profession on that market like thousands of others and you compete to be the best of them.

Communism is basically saying:We are all the same.Thereby we don't have to compete, rather we should help each other.

We are not the same. Some people have to be stepped on. That is just how it is. You cannot change human nature.

That's the human nature of the some who are ignorant about the rest of society therefore they are the dicksheads of society. Why do people need to be stepped on?They don't have the right to do anything important in the world?

There is very little that is accurate in this video

Yes it's true that the United States has some elements of socialism but it is no were near socialism. Making this claim is similar to claim that I have two eyes, a nose, and a mouth therefore I am close to Genghis Khan.

I would agree, however, that modern day Russia is more capitalist than the United States. But seriously, do you want to move closer to modern day Russian?

Have you not seen the social unions in the United States? This man is very smart and knows what he is talking about. Hell, he got endorsed by Bill Gates. The United States is right in between Capitalism and Socialism. He even pointed out that one of the few remaining Communist countries in the world is indeed more Capitalist than the United States.

Edit: Imperial, China is more Capitalist than the United States.

Also can I ask a mod to fix Capatalist to Capitalist?

Socialism- (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.S

    Socialism-
a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

The United States is right in between because there is some public property and you are beginning to see Social Unions in the United States.

    China is interesting.
They are more Capitalist than the US, but still hold a greater potential to become Communist.

No this guy doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. Even compared to Canada, we are miles closer to socialism than you. Saying that America is "in between socialism and capitalism." Is a clear falsehood.

America does have elements of socialism but they are very very week elements. For example no public health care, no societal mechanism to prevent the vast accumulation of wealth, weak regulations of businesses and so on. If you compare these aspects to Canada you will see that every single one has more elements of socialism than America. And in Europe there is even more.

America's social safety nets, which he uses as his sole argument for America being a socialist, are no were near as strong as they used to be and aspects of welfare in the US have even been privatized and republicans are moving to try and privatize what's left. If you call that socialism then you my friend have no idea what socialism is.

The truth here is that the elements of capitalism in American society outweigh the elements of socialism tenfold and that America isn't even remotely close to calling itself a socialist country considering that only 8% of America's workforce is employed by the government. Hell Canada isn't even close to calling itself a socialist country, neither are countries like Sweden and France because the private sector in those economies and the amount of free market influence is substantially more than government influence

Also saying that China is more capitalist than America is such a joke. Because guess the percentage of Chinese people employed by the government? 50%, now does that sound like a strong capitalist free market to you when 1 in every 2 Chinese people get their pay checks from the government? Compared to less than one in ten in the US?

I will provide it happily, once you provide me with the explanation of why there is this epic double standard were apparently that you don't need to prove your ludicrous statement that China is this great capitalist nation and when I state the obvious, which is that it is not, the burden of proof falls to me. Heck in Carthage's video the speaker himself didn't have any proof for his claims. He just randomly threw it out there.
