I'm so sick of people complaining about the supposed poverty many Americans are living in. With our welfare state it's ensured that even the most worthless social parasites get a government check every month as well as food stamps and health benefits. This means they all have shelter running water television food etc. That's not poverty. As for the homeless, they're there by choice. They choose to sit around and bum money from decent people to fund their alcohol/drug problems. With food available for literally a dollar it's impossible to starve in this country.
Take a look at Africa. That's poverty. Even poor Americans live in greater luxury than most in the world.
But impoverished people don't exist! Well, they do in Africa, but nowhere else. I was going to reply seriously, but then I thought "Meh, fuck it".
Oh holy Shit, this guy is serious, you know the grey area? Where people make too much money, they can't have welfare, but they don't make enough to survive correctly? Have you actually spent time in low class neighborhoods? Do you know what its like not knowing if you have enough money to buy bread? Your terrible, people die of starvation in the USA everyday, and its killing me know this, I have been to motels because my familys couldn't afford rent you sir are not in touch with reality, and the scariest thing is knowing you cant afford a FUNERAL IF SOMEONE FUCKING DIES.
Someone is trolling us, these threads are pooping up to fast. But by all means, keep em coming, they are to fun to read.
How about the Vietnam war-vet asking for 5 dollars at the bus station? Or hundreds of thousands of americans out of a job? Plus the 23.8% of teenagers that are un-employed, though I am sure that can be fixed with your idea to force all children to work!
No. Poverty in America is a serious problem. You don't think there are Americans forced to fend for themselves on the streets? This is a bad thing and its on the rise. Look at our unemployment. Poverty is strangling the US.
"Poverty: state of being poor" "Poor: having little money; not having and not able to get the necessaries of life" -Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary of Current English So it's a subject of interpretation because USA has people with little money but the people do get the necessaries of life.
