    You, me, and every other person in the world might believe that Hitler was wrong, but what loving god would punish him for being wrong? Do you understand how flawed the concept is? As a pacifist, I personally detest the idea of punishment. But maybe that's just me.

    So, I kill someone. I do that again, and again, and again. Are you saying I shouldn't be punished for that?

    You should be helped, rescued. Not exactly punished.

    He could have been, if he had accepted Christ. But he didn't.
    This debate is going to have to end for now. I'm going to sleep.

    Accepting Christ doesn't cure someone of insanity and that's not the kind of help that Shaw meant.

    Fun fact, Hitler was never excommunicated. And yeah, I didn't exactly come here to become engaged in a biblical debate, I'm not even christian.

    Rom, your argument is invalid because GOC says he created another religion basing it off christianity. That is a very good thing, and I think he should be applauded and congradulated, instead of being told hes wrong. Its his belief, and he should not be forced to coincide with other's beliefs because of it. In fact, EVERYONE should create their own beliefs regarding God(s).

    The bible never said the earth was flat, the greeks did. And the church officials get massive boners everytime the greeks are mentioned. Maybe it's their shared love of prepubescent boys' anuses.

    (2 Peter3:5), the Earth rests on pillars (I Sam. 2:8), the earth does not move,
    but stands still (I Chron. 16:30), the Earth has ends and edges (Job 37:3),
    the earth has four corners (Isa,. 11:12, Rev. 7:1).

    The view that the Earth is fixed, immovable and non-rotating (Joshua 10:12;
    1 Chronicles 16:30; Psalm 93:1; Psalm 96:10; Psalm 104:5) was used in the Holy Writ to convict Galileo of heresy.

    That was the common belief in that time. Do you expect them to say different when the entire world agrees with you? The Bible is often wrong and often is written in parables and many things are overly exagerated. There are many things wrong in the Bible, this is one of them.

    Funny thing is there were many Greek philosophers and the like that believed the Earth was round. Many of them were sent to the Greek equivalent of mental hospitals.

    The problem I find with your version of Christianity is not the lack of Hell, but the rejection of it on the sole grounds of immorality. It seems to me that the only reason you believe that there is no Hell is because of your disgust at the idea of eternal punishment. While we can debate the moralities of man and how it may differ from a divine being, it has no bearing on the existence of Hell. Just because you balk at it does not remove its existence. (At least if you are a Christian)

    Take that up with the atheists. I actually was convinced by my dad just this morning that Hell exists. Don't hate atheists!
