Seen this video so many times. Though the majority would be killed in their tracks by the Fermi Paradox.
It's pretty much all talking out of his ass. We have no idea what any extraterrestrial life would be like.

Your thinking from, as he would put it, a Type 0 Civilization. For all we know intelligent life can literally bend space and time or some crazy shit. Hell, I've got just as much evidence as you do.
Your point? I mean wtf did you just say? He never said that intelligent life couldn't do those things, he only gave an example were they get their energy....
So one of the most respected and prominent scientists of our times is just pulling this stuff out of his ass? It's good to know two thireen year olds (not trying to insult your age) can tell a very prominent scientist that he is just making stuff up.
He's not describing specific extraterrestrial civilizations. He's classifying civilizations into categories. It is known to scientists that what he said is possible and if our civilization does not die out, is what our civilization will become.
He doesn't pull these things out of his ass, heck he's scientist. Plus he gives good plausible facts, that may or may not be true, however its just impossible to bend the space like you say due to the laws of physics that don't only apply here on Earth.
