As much I fucking hate the ending Bioware should not make a dlc ending because if they do it will only be a terrible example for all the other game developers I'm already annoyed enough with DLC items, DLC armor, DLC weapons, DLC missions, and especially DLC characters and now they're actually making dlc endings that's just too much
Normally I would say no on the grounds that I consider video games art, and artists shouldn't respond this way to negative feedback. But goddamn do I want the ending I payed for. :/ I guess it wouldn't really matter; I already had a library's worth of complaints. The conclusion was simply the final nail in the coffin.
That is silly if they say, you know what, we'll have a DLC ending. It is just silly that it wouldn't be included in the real game. Or is Bioware saying there is a Mass Effect 4 now. I mean WTF. All other DLC before this DLC ending will be pointless, as Shepard is either dead or in a pile of rubble. They can't go all Fallout: New Vegas on us and not allow us to continue playing after we beat the game. With a DLC ending, it just sets a precedent for other companies to do this. I mean, this is Bioware, a well respected studio. If they actually did this, then what does this mean, that other companies can do this to, that they can simply DLC an ending. What if you needed a DLC ending for Half-Life? IMO, it is just silly how the ending worked out. I am not so mad with the ending, more so that it is an incomplete ending.
In that case, people that think about it for a while will get pissed off about the fact that EA and BioWare happily preprogrammed content that they decided to have people pay extra for, while they could've spent that time into making decent endings and just switched the releases of said DLC's, with the prices remaining the same (as in, the Prothean DLC being the paid one that would come out later and the endings being in the released product).
