I never said anyone should be banned, I just said that I didn't feel this situation was handled by you very well and that I disliked what DD said. He should be allowed to state his views without being seen as a bad person, even if you might completely disagree with him.

I'm not calling him a bad person, I'm just saying I don't like him from what I have seen of him. Something I am completely allowed to say. I would treat any reports or issues involving him completely the same regardless. I also never said you said anyone should be banned. I said if expressing dislike was considered a personal attack a lot of people would be.

For the record some of what DD said does cross the line however.

I'm sure you know more about the forum rules than me, but if I say that I dislike someone to their face, it's basically a nice way of saying "Fuck you/you're an asshole"

I never called him an asshole so you can't assume that that was what I implied there. You can dislike people for reasons other than them being assholes. If he is upset over DD saying he should go die he could certainly report that as that was crossing the line. Otherwise you're free to have the opinion that I shouldn't say I don't like him but nothing other than what DD said was possibly breaking the personal insult/attack rule.

I don't see how "Please die." can be translated into either a personal insult against ones character or a threat of harm against ones person. Especially in the applied context, which was parody for those of you paying attention.
