Anyone here played this? I just bought the original and tales of valor. So far it's one of the best RTS games I've ever played. The graphics are excellent and I like how they designed it so you could use different command styles for different abilities. I'd reccomend it even if your like me and thought the rts and ww2 genre were dying.

I have Tales of Valor and it's great. I suck at the game, but it's still really fun. I haven't played it in a while so I might start playing it again.

I dont have Company of Heroes but I have Men of War. Is it better than MOW?

Yes. Far better. Only Kruska and Pavylochenko like MOW better than COH. I used to play COH all the time, it was very good. I tried getting in to it recently and I spent literally hours on The Scheldt in a back-and-forth battle and it was an absolute epic. I wouldn't mind starting to play it again.

Is it worth it to purchase opposing fronts as well? I'm thinking of getting it but I'd like to know if it ads enouph top the game to be worth it if you already have TOV

Well it adds more than Tales of Valor, assuming ToV doesn't let you play as Panzer Elite and British. If you can play as them already; don't bother - Opposing Fronts adds the two factions and short campaigns for them (Caen and Market Garden) and that's it.
Anyway, definately one of my favourite games, and not just because you get to play as the Germans.

If you do get it, watch this guy's COH videos:

He's actually legitimately entertaining. He makes MoW videos as well, and some of those are hilarious.

I don't even have it it installed right now and I've probably lost the disk for ToV in my fat folds. I'll get it on Steam later.

I quite like CoH. The soldiers aren't completely stupid and actually hide when being shot at. Also, every battle is different from others, and one time you'll find yourself blitzing through the opponents weak defensive lines, and the next time you'll find both sides heavily battling and defending on little strategic points, using urban terrain in their advantage.

It's a good RTS for sure but it's nowhere near as good as Men of War. I can't stand CoH anymore because it's so unrealistic, but you can still have a lot of fun with it if you can look past its simplicity.

It's far less realistic than MoW. I can't stand the health bars for vehicles and the infantry being suprisingly resilient against MG/tank/arty fire. The whole retreating mechanic is rediculous as well. It's not necesssarily bad gameplay but I simply don't like it very much.

My fellow comrade, I've played Company of Heores, I'd say it has its moments, although I'm not particularly a big fan of the campaign part of the game. Online is excruciatingly frustrating to play sometimes, if you're competitive, like me, then you'll know how frustrating it is. Other then that, I'd say playing the online in a friendly, rather calm manner is very satisfactory, especially playing with friends.

Yeah, he's been banned already. That man never learns and his chances are quickly running out.
