This song makes me feel very hopeless. It proposes the stark reality that human life has no purpose and the struggle to rationalize that fact or come to grips with it.

    Lyrics:

At the end of days, at the end of time
When the Sun burns out will any of this matter?
Who will be there to remember who we were?
Who will be there to know that any of this had meaning for us?

And in retrospect I'll say we've done no wrong
Who are we to judge what's right and what has purpose for us?
With designs upon ourselves to do no wrong
Running wild unaware of what might come of us

The Sun was born, so it shall die
    So only shadows comfort me
I know in darkness I will find you giving up inside like me
Each day shall end as it begins
And though you're far away from me
I know in darkness I will find you giving up inside like me

Without a thought I will see everything eternal
Forget that once we were just dust from heavens far
As we were forged we shall return, perhaps some day
I will remember you and wonder who we were

The Sun was born, so it shall die
    So only shadows comfort me
I know in darkness I will find you giving up inside like me
Each day shall end as it begins
And though you're far away from me
I know in darkness I will find you giving up inside like me

It's more a personal thing, but this is pretty damn depressing to me.

Also, it's not that it's depressing, but the lyrics are still pretty creepy and dark; still an amazing song:

I listened to this a lot when I was really depressed. EDIT: I also just saw the portion of the lyrics that show up on the video below this. Don't let it turn you off from the song, becasue it's really good.

I also used to listen to it a lot while playing Katawa Shoujo.

I almost came to tears listening to this song once. Don't judge me, or I'll stab you.

Thought for a second you were talking about the intro song.

The negative songs like Innocence and Shadow of the Truth in Katawa Shoujo make me want to cut myself. I honestly cannot listen to them without getting watery eyed.

Not really depressing, but sad and heart tugging.

Why can't rap fans just let tupac die. He's been dead since 96 and they still insist on having him in concerts one way or another.
