I agree. I don't agree with him on everything. I mean his own party doesn't agree with him sometimes
"cough" in-state tuition for illegals "cough".

Just bottom line despite his views he is out there trying. Give him that. He is someone you could have a beer with. Same with Bush.

I have my issues with Ron Paul, but he is a veteran too. You will never see me insult him. I may insult his views, but not him.(this has only recently become known to me so don't get me for what I might have said in the past).

While he did serve, he was a flight surgeon. He didn't see combat, and if I remember correctly wasn't even serving in a field hospital during a war. Another thing to note is at the time rotc was mandatory at a lot of colleges so it's not like he risked his life and future to defend the country

Now to my knowledge Paul got the draft. Perry volunteered. I'm just sayin'

    From Wikipedia on Perry's Service
Upon graduation in 1972, Perry was commissioned in the Air Force and completed pilot training in February 1974. He was then assigned as a C-130 pilot to the 772nd Tactical Airlift Squadron atDyess Air Force Base. Perry's duties included two-month overseas rotations at RAF Mildenhall in England and Rhein-Main Air Base in Germany. His missions included a 1974 U.S. State Department drought relief effort in Mali, Mauritania and Chad, and two years later, earthquake relief in Guatemala.[17] He left the Air Force in 1977 with the rank of captain, returned to Texas, and went into business farming cotton with his father.[18]

Whats wrong with Imperialism? If a country is strong enough to conquer another I say so be it.

Oh like he really put up a fight not to serve. He is proud of his service. Don't try and say he didn't volunteer on account of "imperialism". That is just a flat out falsehood. He has touted his service many times on the trail.

Fuck, sometimes I forget that nowhere is safe. I lost my sense of paranoia for a second. Now I must pay the consequences.

I think it is absolutely hysterical that you think being someone you could "have a beer with" is criteria for becoming the most powerful man on the face of the fucking planet. God damn Americans. Deal with your child like notions somewhere that it WON'T actively shape history.

The draft was still in effect when he joined the service. It's impossible to say why he joined, but many (like my father) chose to go to school in lieu of the draft upon the contention that they would commission upon graduation. And again there's a difference between flight surgeons and non combat air craft pilots, and say George Bush sr, or Bob Dole

Yes, because I said that means he should be president. There is no hidden message there. I NEVER said that means he should be president. I didn't even imply it!!!
