I'd greatly enjoy it if you went into detail due to the fact the only things I've read on Socrates are from Plato's Republic and his other works. Even if Socrates' method was flawed I still revere the man as an intelligent philosopher. I certainly wouldn't call him my favorite, I think men like Hobbes, Hume and Nietzsche are more interesting to me.

Kony 2012 did reach it's goal to raise world awarness to Kony... but it doesn't do much good if half the supporters are against it now or that people are starting to forget about it.

Edit- Also what exactly are the L.R.A fighting for? (Against the Uganda goverment I mean.)

This addressed some of my main conserns of the movement and I think I even might get behind the cause.

I want it to make a comeback, but I do not think this will be it.

I am neutral about this, I may end up re supporting it but for now i'll play it safe and do some research.

My main consern was that they endorsed interventionist foreign policy, but it turns out that they leave countries to deal with their problems backed by international community. That is what I like. And while Kony is a result of a problem, there is no reason not to take action against him.

I really do not know how to feel about the movement. If they were just trying to increase awareness of Kony, then they were successful. However, the backlash from the video by a sizable portion of people could seriously hurt the movement, and Invisible Children in general.

I would like to discuss what would happen IF the USA or another superpower intervined in actually attacking and killing the LRA and Kony.

We will be in Africa, in the vicinity of Uganda. Unless you want to take the time to cut down thousands of trees, open to attack from the LRA guerrillas, then you have to go through those forests, even more open to attack from LRA guerrillas. It will take time and effort to locate said guerrillas and find them and kill/capture them. Therefore, it will be like Afghanistan.

At the present moment, they only see to be interested in starving to death in the Congo. They aren't an issue.

Idk how to break this to you but there are no jungles in Afganistian... and Afganistian in in the Middle east, not Africa.

Anyhow like I said in the video it would be hard for the marine's phycology to go up against the children.

This would happen. Mogadishu 1993 (or 1991 I can't remember). Nevertheless, this is why we never intervene in Africa, its even worse than the Middle East, because in Africa people are running from building to building (or tree to tree) with RPG's and AK-74s.

No, but the desert and rocky terrain can relate to the jungle as barren wasteland, ripe for easy ambushes.
