I'm not an alt and if you can't take me seriously nobody is forcing you to read my posts. I've been asked a lot why I would sign up to a site named after Stalin that seems to have a lot of left wingers. The reason is that I enjoy debate.

I would prefer to post at a place that challenges my beliefs rather than everyone agreeing with me. In fact plenty of people on this site have made rational good arguments that make me think about things. That's what I enjoy. I'm not here to disrespect anyone or tarnish the site.

Leftist ideas aren't generally met with hostility. If you come out and call it socialism it will be, because Americans are still caught up in a stupid cold war mindset where your either a communist or capitalist as though those were the only to two economic systems to ever exist. However if you put forth socialist ideas and mask it as being "progressive" or "liberal" it's not met with hostility.

Sure it is, lots of yankees seem to use 'liberal' as some sort of insult from what i've seen.
