People always say that the Italians have shit armies in WW1 and WW2, but in World War 1, the Austrians had even worse armies. They couldn't even invade Serbia. Fucking Serbia! The only reason Serbia falls is because it was attacked by Bulgaria. The Austro-Hungarian Empire contained the third largest pop. in all of Europe, was 16 times the pop. of Serbia, had a larger army, better supplies, and yet they failed to conquer Serbia until the Germans and Bulgarians came to the rescue of the Austrians.

It was all of these factors. WW1 did not go as badly as people believe, Russians were outright exterminating Ottomans & Austrians very much like Germans were destroying Russians. Essentially it was like a base race type of thing: Russians have to weaken German allies so badly they cant fight and Germans have to take Petrograd.

Then there was civil unrest, revolutionary defeateist Bolsheviks rising to power and so on.

Ottomans had by far the worst army. They suffered up to 1/7 kill death ration when defending

Communism was and still is one of the greatest economic and political theorems ever created by mankind. The emphasis was theorem in practice it was and is catastrophic it leads to a society were conservative ideas or even ideas that are not communist enough are banned and thousands of people died in the USSR because of it. More people died because of Stalin then because of Hitler.

Oh yeah. I forgot about those Ottomans, so silly. I am not sure they were having success against the Austrians, as the Austrians and Germans pushed against the Russians, although it may just be German troops in Austria that was the reason, but against the Ottomans, they destroyed them.

Russians pushed back Austrians and slaughtered them hand over fist.

Add totals like those killed in Cuba because of Soviet support those killed in Vietnam those killed in Korea and those killed in China. The consequences of what he did survived far longer then he did.

His legacy managed to get thousands killed. Extreme liberalism is just as bad as extreme conservatism.

But what Deadtrap is saying is that Stalin wasn't as bloody as Hitler. And you saying that he is responsible for Cuba, Vietnam, Korea, etc. is silly. His successors chose their own paths, and if i remember, North Korea, Vietnam and Cuba became communist on their own.

Thank you. Stalin had nothing to do with any of those. I do not see how he got a link between them.

NK had Soviet influence after WW2 as they took part in rebuilding it. To my understanding communism was not forced upon them by Soviets, but it influenced them in becoming ones.

Korea, really, at the end of WWII Korea was still a Japanese possession, and as such the soviets installed Kim Il Sung in the north and the united states created a democracy in the south. Is something here wrong?

NK was probably more heavily influenced by China in all honesty, but we should get back to WW1.

The Germans lost at the Marne, and dug trenches.
    -Four Years Later-
    The Germans lost.
Everything else in the war is very interesting however somewhat trivial.
