Should Kaliningrad Oblast be returned to Germany?

If the Russian were still the dirty Soviets, then it would be only natural to give it back to Germany. But the USSR is already gone, and though we lost a great historical city to the disgusting communist hordes it would be stupid to return it at this point. Though returning the city to its original name wouldn't be a terrible idea, especially given the source of its current name.

I think they should have a refferendum with this topic in Keniingrad,but as seeing most of it's native people were moved becouse of the soviet leadership it would always be won by the russians.

While it should never have been taken away from Germany in the first place, it's too late to revert back to it's original owners now.(the population mostly consider themselves Russian)
That's basically what I think in most cases of revisionism. It might have been unfair and wrong at the time to the loosing country, but the situation is totally different today.(demographics)

In my opinion, If the people don't want to be German, then they aren't German.

On the other hand, the borders would look a lot nicer if given to Poland or Lithuania. And with me being an avid EU3 player, I know that clean borders are the most important thing, so it should go to Poland or Lithuania.

I voted germany, because I like germans more then russians or polish. But it should be left up to the people who live there and since they are mostly russian I suspect they will opt to remain part of russia, so good for them.

They were originally gonna give it to the Lithuanian SSR but they where all liek NOO WE DONT WANT TO SPEND THE MONEYZ, so the Russians did it.

I vote yes because it was historically always german. The german population is gone because of russification, but the historical german presence is still there.

I say keep it Russian. The people there are Russian (through means fair or foul, at this point it doesn't matter), the culture there is Russian, everything has been renamed or replaced with Russian. What German culture, people, ect. in the province that used to be there is now utterly and entirely gone.

It would be like giving Pakistan back to India... it would not work and would be disasterious politically, economically, and socially for members involved. It would generally piss off more people than it would make happy.
