What happened to Toast?

Yeah Stalin's a dick. So is every other mod who thought he should be permabanned. You shouldn't permaban someone for repeated small offenses, it should only be used sparingly, if someone is a major problem. Not a guy like Toast.

That doesn't mean it isn't a stupid and dickish policy, and it doesn't mean you all aren't dicks. Because you are, and this is shit.

I know posting in a locked thread is a no-no, I'm going to weigh in anyways. The reason Toast was banned was near constant personal insults and harassment. Both against the rules and always have been. He was given two previous bans, the same as Che. We let Toast get away with breaking the rules many times due to him mostly going unreported but he had very many chances. Not learning from past bans was there as any user that refuses to change after several temporary bans is not going to change if we give another 1 month ban or so. It was not so much a rule as a you've shown that you aren't going to change and follow the rules no matter how much we warn or ban you. Trolling was there again not as a rule and was not really a deciding factor in the perma ban however he did constantly troll. In the final ban it was just summed up what he had done wrong over his time here. Finally the decision to ban him did come from Stalin but it was the mods who carried it out.
