    This....
And also when you apply for such a job the extent of the background examination they do pretty much reveals everything you've ever done in your life. If you stole a crayon from someone in kindergarten, chances are they're going to hear about it. It's really more of a integrity check then anything. If you get caught lieing about something on your entrance exams it's ground for future termination or not being hired depending on when they figure it out

Because my uncle is by all accounts a colossal douche/asshole. Oh and he was also one of those bad cops who abused his power. Think he got kicked off the police force for some kind of fraud, was a long time ago.

As terrible as this and other stories of police abusing their power are, I don't think it really represents most police offices. Certainly in Britain, they are overworked, under paid and hardly respected for the good work most of them do. Especially on Friday and Saturday nights when they have to put up with abuse from people who are drunk.

Then tell the truth but bring the jolly good fact that you never tried heroin though anal :)

    instant pass

Edit: I am no scientist but the polygraph test just sees what right and what's wrong (Simply but)

well then smoke marijuana from cigarette paper and call it cigarettes (subconscious will do the rest) and in time you forget its marijuana, and thus the test wont spot that you have smoked marijuana.
Only cigarettes, home made, mind you.

If pot were still illegal, and my habit interfered with my career, I would simply switch to designer drugs.
Which are horrible poisons, but at least they aren't illegal, right?

I have no idea how they find out about something like that. Also, the Stanford Prison Experiment actually shows that if you have power over others you are inclined to abuse it.

I have always hated policemen. Not just because this guy. Example-

A policecar was following my neighbor because he was speeding , he had no lights or siren on, he had no clue he was following him, when he pulled in his driveway and got out of the car the cop pointed his gun at him, he had to be 3 feet away. He said it was illegal for him to get out of a car when you have a ticket. Well Officer D.Bag your suposed to put your lights or siren on!

Another example, my dad and his friends were running around when they were in 8th grade I belive, aparently they were tresspassing and his friend got confused and ran in a different direction, the cop thought he was charging at him and shot him in the leg. The kid that got shot was pretty damn short and had hardly any muscles so idk why you think you would be in any danger, especially when they were running in a different direction.

The thousands of instances of Police Brutality every day. The un-nessicary use of tazors.

If that isnt enough to convince you. Brenton Butler v Florida. Exactly.

George Bush hated cops. That's why he pardoned all those coke addicts.

Eh, it has more to do with the strength of group mentality and the power of association then that...

@Light... That sucks but I've been pulled over like 4 times in my life, and never had a bad experience. There are bad apples and they should be punished, but you can't say that every single officer is a bad apple based off the actions of a few. There are millions of arrests / police-civilian interactions every day and even if you're out looking for it only a handful of them every few months is like the cases you talked about.

My opinion on cops has taken a downward turn lately. Ever since that cop at UC Berkely sprayed the college students with pepper spray.
