Im a Satanist, But I always did kind of like the Luciferian idea of god being a demiurge the only problem though is, I don't believe in god so thinking of lucifer/satan as a supernatural force never really sat well with me, I didn't want to trade one deity for a other because I grew up pretty strict catholic and I just got sick of it all the Your going to a place of eternal suffering ! and the contradictions and everything so thats why I converted and what not .
When I was your age, I believed in god to, I was born into a strict catholic family and sent to a Catholic school for most of my life, But trust me buddy, when you read the bible and you see some of the stuff in it, you,ll realize it's not what everyone makes it out to be there's alot of stuff in the bible that the church's won't cover or they put make up on it or make excuses.
Oh no, not at all man thats a common misconception, Satanism is simply a way of saying that you are your own god and that the church is crap, Infact its pretty athiestic, we simply use satan as a symbol for all natural human urges.
It still basically subscribes to the Christian perception of the devil though, which seems a bit silly to me.
Yeah pretty much, except that we do some rituals and we follow a few rules and what not, but you know we don't do werid shit like people say we do like kill goats and use their blood to form pentagrams in the middle of the street where we attempt to summon a ancient demon from it's slumber and what not lol, Though some other branches of satanism believe in Satan as a god like deity or sprit or somthing like that, like the luciferians who think that god is a anti-knowledge type sprit or somthing like that called the demi-urge and satan is a sprit that helps you enlighten your self or somthing along those lines, sorry im not that good with luciferians lol. Edit: Sorry Achtung your message and pineapple's showed up at the same time and I missed it, the reason for that is because the church since way back in the day has tried to control people, by saying that certain human things, Like the want for sex, money, rest and even fighting back is sinful, that's why we use satan the way he is he is basically the church's Embodiment of natural human things they consider sinful, that we shouldn't be ashamed of, infact we should accept those wants/needs and use them to make our selfs better, if your tired rest, if you want to have a relationship with someone go ahead, now the most common arguement people will bring up about this is that over doing it leads to bad things and that's true but the sins counter each other for example, A glutton who eats him self fat, will see him self one day and have a moment of pride and because of his pride he might work out to the point where he is healthy.
