Why? Its a bill. They either make the decision to pass or not pass it, I am sure they are aware of what to do.

Politicians aren't that stupid. If one senator supported a bill that the rest of their party didn't like, he won't be getting money for his reelection campaign. Also, Republicans and Democrats could support one bill that the other supported to try to gain leverage for a bill that the other party wants passed.

You just proved my theory, it is your choice if you want to support it or not. There were both Republicans and Democrats who supported CISPA and both from the two parties who oppose it.

The parties themselves both support the bill.

Obama will veto this bill. Even if it "dies" though it will prob come back again under a different name because these guys don't give up (despite the people they're supposed to represent not wanting any of it) and they will keep trying to sneak it by.

Yeah, that's the funny thing. I don't know one person who actually supports this bill, or any of the other ones they attempted to pass before. And yet they still try to pass it.

But its not like there are opponents against it.

Yo would think they would get tired of trying to pass it over and over again.

They don't get tired of all of that money from the movie and music industries for doing what they want.

Agreed, but usually bills come and go and usually if it is not passed, it will not be passed.

so basically when Americans are about to have their freedoms taken away normally they freak the fuck out but as soon as you say anything about preventing terrorism in it that effectively does the same thing nobody gives a shit?

Exactly. Look up the Patriot Act. Now if that had come before any major terrorist attacks, and if it had not been against terrorists, then would it have been passed?

Agreed, it is kind of like the Espionage Act during World War 1. The good news is usually these acts all end when the war ends because there no longer any purpose for it, it just really another repeat of history.

If we were fascist we would have elections.

Well the Patriot Act really does have a point, and I don't think its going away anytime soon. Its helped, but at what cost?

It gives the government a right to make sure you are not a terrorist or possible terrorist by looking in your personal life I think. I don't really care because I got nothing to hide and I don't want to blow up something. As I said, when the war ends, the act will end. We have done it before and no real bad came out of it.

The bourgeois elections of the united states are scam, all major change happened under threat of popular unrest or popular unrest

I disagree, I do not think all elections are a scam, that is actually propaganda made by conspiracy theorists. I think there might be some corruption in some elections, but the entire election is not rigged.
