Not you, I was talking about people who actually discuss a "close" war between China and the US.

    The ones with nukes.

Well let us rule Nukes out of the equation

But a war against China would mostly be China on the defense as the Chinese economy collapsed.

No nation could invade the US successfully. Just imagine the insurgencies in Iraq and Afghanistan, times a trillion, and fueled by nationalism, and with more, and more advanced weapons.

Even if they teamed up, they wouldn't have a chance at taking america? I mean I know alone no one could and even many nations if they teamed up would have very slim chance of even taking a foothold on the USA but say if Russia/Europe/India/Brazil/China/NK/bunch of nations that hate us/Brazil, All teamed up would they have a chance, or are we really that badass?

Well, we have more aircraft carriers then the rest of the world combined, so for a time at least our navy would outclass them, and they would have a hard time landing troops in the US. Eventually they could just outproduce us, but even then they could not succesfully occupy the entire nation.

I even find the out producing method to be unlikely.

It would be like a meat grinder, no matter how many soldiers you could throw at us from however many nations, they would all be destroyed just the same.

Well I figure the rest of the world has greater capacity for industry then just the US alone, it would take a long time, but if it came down a war of attrition I think we would lose eventually(I am talking a very long time and at an extremly high cost to our enemies).

US topography would play a key role in an invasion. Give us credit, our terrain is pretty tough.

    Tough, yes.
But it hardly stops data transfers.
Or air power for that matter.

yea that's what anti-air weapons are for, not to mention our kickass airforce. Plus to even get your forces over here, you have to make it past our navy, which is better then every other navy on earth combined. I'm not saying we are invincible, but it would be a nightmare trying to occupy our country.

You kinda implied it when you replied to coexistence's comment about how rough our terrain is.

What do you mean by that?
