I'm wondering if there's anyone who plays Eve-Online here? Given the high number of socialists among us, I'm further interested as to whether any of you are part of a 'socialist' corp that functions on socialist principles. Furthermore, is their an NKVD Corp in existance by any chance? Let us know what Corp you're involved, what you do in the game, and the types of people you play with - I'd be interested to know.
I played alot of EvE back in the day. Organized some 0.0 Mining Excavations for my Corp. But I do not play anymore, it just takes too much time if you want to be at the top with an Alliance and stuff.
These forums were set up by an internet lets player who happened to be a socialist. That doesn't mean all of his fans are socialist. There are a fair amount, but I think the majority aren't socialists. I played a moderate about of Eve back in 2009. It was pretty engrossing, but I didn't like how much time you had to invest to be successful.
Yeah going off the 'rate your ideology on a graph' threads, it looks like there are heaps of libertarians here. I think I left Eve online for exactly the same reason. Felt like there's not much point playing it unless you're playing it morning till night. Which I would really like to do sometime. Maybe when I'm a 50 years old.
There are only like three libertarians here, myself included, and the majority are leftists, despite what anybody tells you.
Well I'm sure I'll get to know you all and your political inclinations in due time. The Thread was about Eve Online though. I think I started it because I want an Eve Online player to encourage me to get back into the game. Anyone who actually plays the game currently?
Well I just recently got into eve and i feel that you don't need to invest a large amount of time to be on top of the game. That may be because im a noob and haven't invested enough into other aspects of the game.
The fondest memories I have of the game is when I was a noob. I felt completely immersed in the Eve universe. Have you joined a corp yet? It seems impossible to learn anything in the game without the help of other players.
Yes I have its a great bunch of people. We do mission running, mining and are soon to be getting into an alliance so possible pvp in the future
