Poor Romney. He's always the guy that people know is expected to be the Republican nominee, but whom nobody wants to be the Republican nominee.

Well, I can't vote right now, but I'll be able to next election! :D

I would vote for Obama if I could though.

If Ron Paul won the primaries, I would encourage people to vote for him. Unfortunatelly, that is not going to happen. Now, my support (even thougth Im not american), is for the future candidate of the libertarian party (yes, because american politics is beyond the paththicness of the Republicans and the Democrats).

But what troubles me is that apparently there are still people who believe that Barack Obama is the supposed "lesser-evil" and should win again. I just laughed at his hipocrisy in now supporting gay marriage (even thougth personally he is against it). I´m amazed how many people are always talking about the problem of corporatist influence in politics, but still support a guy who is financed by corporatist interests (both the Democrats and Republicans are influenced by corporatist interests). I think this is the best picture to describe the situation.

Well, I´m also for gay marriage. I´m even for humans marrying animals. I don´t care. Government should not step their foot on marryage. But using a issue, that is so important for many people, to win more votes in a dishonest way, sickens my.

Romney. I like how I'm the only person who voted for Romney in the poll thus far. But I like him more than Obama. I am curious, however, who he will get for VP.

Why do you like Romney over Obama. I can't find one upside to Romney.

Well, the way he made all his money is that he took over failing businesses and turned them around, which required him to make tough decisions (lay offs, cutbacks) which no one currently in power is willing to make. But, I'm a Republican, so keep in mind I'd rather rip out my toenails than ever say I'd rather have Obama, or any other Democrat, for that matter.

I'm just stating a commonly known truth. And I may or may not be serious. I'll leave that up to you.

I was talking about you never wanting to support a democrat, if that wasn't clear.

See this is what I fucking despise about political parties. Some people *looking at you Stephen* are so attatched to their fucking ideology, that they would go as far as to vote for even the most ridiculous of candidates who will make the country crash and burn (not saying Romney is that kinda candidate but you get the point) just so the guy from the other political party, no matter how good his record is, doesn't get in. It disgusts me.

Also, about Obama using his support for gay marriage as a political stunt, what the fuck do you expect? Romney uses his support for not legalizing gay marriage as a political stunt, as he does about his hatred of the stimulus. Obama uses his point that the stimulus worked as a political stunt too. They are POLITICIANS! It's what they all do.

I will say it again, the plurality voting system in the US sucks, and is one of the major causes of the two party system, which is a divisive and narrowminded system. How hard can it be?! Institute proportional representation. I mean god, aren't the US meant to be the beacon of democracy in the world? You're still using this antiquated, unfair and undemocratic(at least less than proportional) system, even though most other progressive western countries have adopted proportional(or partial) representation a long time ago...

What are you looking at me for? It's not like I did anything...
But seriously, I wasn't actually being serious. I'm just illustrating a common fact. I don't go for the kind of crap that you were talking about, I hate it as much as you do.

That is politics for you. They say things because, hey, it gets them more support.
And that is the average American for you. Always voting because, "Derp, he's a Republican," or , "Derp, he isn't Obama."
