Yes, but is your argument the one that doesn't make sense. It's not even a sylogism.

Drugs are ok because they come from the nature (according to pro legalization)
Therefore, they should drink poison and die

There is a difference in getting high by smoking weed and drinking a substance that will paralyze your muscles and your CNS, killing you in a couple of minutes.

Honestly I don't know why all drug users aren't out taking poison, I mean you would think they would do such an amazing all natural substance.

If the US government ever legalized all drugs, then I would be out there protesting against it. I would not be opposed to the legalization of weed, as that's not as bad as cigarettes, but any other drugs I would be highly against legalizing. Shaw, what do you describe as "soft" drugs? I just would like to know, because sometimes soft drugs is open to interpretation whereas everyone agrees on the main "hard" drugs. Furthermore, Cocaine is not ok, and is certainly a hard drug.

I think peoiple should be able to drink snake poison if they really want, but I don't see what good can come of it.

You just don't know much about the topic.
Soft drugs are the ones that aren't dangerous, like Marijuana, Psilocybin and Psilocin Mushrooms, LSD, MDMA, Ketamine, et cetera. As opposed to hard drugs, like Heroine, Methamphetimine, and other narcotics. Soft drugs are not damaging, and pose no threat of addiction.

I don't know man, I've heard that shrooms can fuck you up pretty badly and LSD can give you some nasty trips that can be dangerous. Though I no experience what so ever with these drugs so I don't really know. What i find on the internet is pretty split too so that doesn't really help.

Just wanted to add that, although is true that in comparisson with, let's say heroine, soft drugs are harmless, they do damage the body. And not just "the bad and eeevil drugs", I'm also talking about legit drugs like alprazolam or clonazepam.

Edit: Now that I think about it, I don't know if classify anxiolytics as hard drugs or not. Anyways, you got the idea.

Well, I know people who have done acid and shrooms, and as long as you aren't stupid there isn't much that could go wrong.

In general, I am totally against interventionism. I don't believe any good ever comes of it, even if the people of a country ask for another country to intervene, I think after a while they would be fighting to get them out of their country.

I understand Mexico is slightly different, what with many of the problems coming from the US, but I still think intervening is too far. As soon as Mexicans see their lives starting to be controlled by US soldiers/administrators/governers they would not be so passionate about America helping them fight the drug war.

I also don't agree with legalising drugs, and so think the best option would be for Mexico to try and sort things out on its own. I don't think Amercia doing any more than funding the Mexican police or providing training can be of any benefit.

I'm not in favor of legalizing acid and shrooms and other drugs of that sort. There is clear evidence of Ketamine causing a psychological addiction. LSD is not addictive, but can cause severe psychological effects, including several long term disorders. Frequent Ecstasy use can lead to heart problems and stroke, and even one pill could give you memory loss. Shrooms can cause flashbacks to previous trips and memory loss. Its better than other drugs of its kind, but I still wouldn't be in favor of legalizing it. In other words, they all frequently cause psychological damage and strong dependence and addictions. Also, people taking these drugs may be a danger to others, especially if they're going through a particularly negative trip.
I disagree, if they ask you to come in, then you come in. ESPECIALLY if its the people asking, not just the government. If the people decide they want to actually live in freedom and relative health and safety, then the countries that champion these exact things should fight for them to get it. I've always believed you help those who can't help themselves.

I agree with the morality of what you're saying, I would always try to do what's best for people.

However, what I'm saying is, I don't believe that, even with a countrys best interests at heart, another country can make a success of intervening.
Whatever Mexicans might say about wanting foreign intervention, I do not believe in the long run it would be better for them, because I fear that America might end up fighting a Mexican insurgency, as Mexicans will think America is trying to take away their freedom as a country.
Terrible as the drugs war is, I think Mexico now has a better chance of improving their country than they would have if America ends up fighting against the people of Mexico on Mexican soil, in a conflict reminiscant of many in recent history.

Well, that's fair enough. However, I wouldn't in any way be opposed to an annexation of Mexico by the US, and if I was of age (which will be 3 years from now), I would immediately volunteer for one of the groups that would go there and start cleaning the place up. Perhaps the Red Cross or Peace Corps (I'm thinking of spending 1 year with the peace corps after graduation anyways). Then again, that's just my idea of it, I'm sure most US and Mexican citizens would see things quite differently.

I'm assuming this is a typo, or I'm worried for the future of the world.

No, it wasn't a typo. Maybe it would be better explained by the fact I want an absolutely united world, so in my opinion if a fully industrialized and free country annexes a transitioning, impoverished one like Mexico, then there is no problem in my eyes. You might call me an imperialist, but I'm really not.
