How? You don't have to hold down the populace if you're working with them to take something or other out.
I certainly do not, but what exactly would you mean by in the american sense?
    Like most nations.
Except most nations industrialize in the same way. I assume your talking about what they gear their economies toward, and that depends on what resources are in the area. For instance in Oregon, logging is a major part of the economy, and what a large part of their industry is geared toward. But, in Pennsylvania, coal mining is a major part of the economy, and much of their industry is geared towards it. In other words, even within the US there are different types of industrialization.
Wrong, I actually find it kind of cool to look at the way culture influences building styles, and I despise people who think the American way of doing things is the perfect one just because its American.
I don't know about this either, but I suppose it might be so. I wouldn't say the culture would be eroded, instead it would become heavily influenced by American culture, and America would start becoming heavily influenced by Mexican culture.

Industrialization erodes culture wherever, whether you be in the US, Germany, Russia, or China.
Well, I believe humans have an obligation to help each other. We are still going to find out what's going to happen without interference, unless aliens begin interfering. :p

Mexico has been an industrialized nation for a long time. Jesus Christ, they're the 15th largest economy in the world.

They are still in the process of industrialization though. Most countries are. I would consider them more a developing country than a first world one. For instance, India and China are both in the top 10 largest economies, but I wouldn't consider either of them fully industrialized yet.

Mosh, I'd just like to sort out what you mean by a military intervention in Mexico.
What kind of troops numbers? Would you work with Mexican security forces? How would you deal with unhappy Mexicans? How long would you envisage this lasts?

Hes right. If 49 beheaded american bodies showed up on a street anywhere in America near the U.S/Mexico border it's going to be like 9/11 all over again. If the cartels actually kill or find a way to harm American citizens, U.S will respond by intervening and ect ect. If not, then they coulden't care one damn bit. I really do hope something changes in Mexico, or some country has the balls and the heart to intervene themselves to stop the thousands of Mexican citizens being killed over drug territory.
