Also, my Fictional leader, Erich Werner will be trying to make East Germany independent from Soviet control, i.e. still being in systems similar, and keeping in the WP, but with little soviet control over the government. The rest of Werner's agenda will be revealed as time goes on.
Well, I'm going to be a nationalist group in the Kashmir region known as the Kashmiri Nationalist Brotherhood. The group is composed mostly of Muslims, but about one fifth of the group is Hindi. While the Brotherhood has attempted to gather members and support from the small Buddhist population in the region, they have by and large rejected the group's calls due to its willingness to act out violently toward the governments in the area. However, a very small handful of Buddhists have agreed to work peaceably with the Brotherhood in order to form a unified state. The Brotherhood's manifesto calls for the people of Kashmir to rise above their respective religions and unite under their call for nationality. The manifesto also seeks to create a Kashmiri Republic in all of the areas outlined on this map: While the Brotherhood is technically a nationalist organization, many of it's members are Islamic Socialists, who believe that the Kashmiri Republic should be a Islamic-Marxist state. There are three major factions with-in the Kashmiri Nationalist Brotherhood; the Islamic Nationalists, the Hindi Nationalists, and the Kashmiri Socialists. The Islamic Nationalists believe that the Brotherhood should look to Afghanistan, Iran, and maybe even broker a deal Pakistan to support them in their movement. The Hindi Nationalists believe that the Brotherhood should work with the Indian government to create a pro-Indian Kashmiri Republic. Most of the Islamic Nationalists are opposed to this idea. The Kashmiri Socialists, composed of both Muslim and Hindi Socialists, believe that the Brotherhood should look to the USSR for support of their work. As well, a small number of them want to approach the Chinese government to help them found the Kashmiri Republic, but exclude the areas claimed by China (see the above map). Both the Islamic Nationalists and the Hindi Nationalists strongly oppose this plan. EDIT: Right, I need a character. On 17 December, 1964, the previous leader of the Kashmiri Nationalist Brotherhood was killed in a small skirmish with the Pakistani government. On 30 December, 1964 the officers of the Brotherhood majority elect Chives, a Kashmiri Socialist, to lead the organization.
