Remember loading up Rome: Total War and seeing those awesome but not in-game shots of Roman troops in formation? Didn't that look fucking gorgeous? And when you got into the game, what did they look like? Certainly nothing like the ones in the loading screens. I think Rome 2 can pull that off.
When are they going to announce the new total war? Following their system, it should have been announced a couple months ago!! Maybe it will be announced at E3.
Guys, as much as it pains me to say this, the next game is not gonna be 2 war rome total: . We have been expecting Rome 2 ever since fucking empire total war came out, yet they have let us down every time. It is gonna be Victoria Total War next or otherwise known as Empire 2 Total War. This time, I think they are gonna make it special and make France 2 provinces!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing, I know. After that though, I don't think they could go any more further up the timeline and they will have to go backwards. Rome 2 will come then, and hopefully by then CA will have made the system a million times more awesome.
That would be a stupid move, Rome came out before Empire, so, if they're willing to make another Empire before they make another Rome, not a lot of people are going to be happy about that. I really do wish for another Rome, at least just to fix the fucking retarded AI.
Well if you look at the entire Total War franchise everything but Rome has gotten a sequel Shogun + Shogun 2 Medieval + Medieval 2 Empire + Napoleon So its not unnatural to assume Rome 2 would be the next move. But as much as I would love Rome 2 a Victorian era game is probably the next game because of the stuff they tried out in Fall of the Samurai (i.e Machine Guns)
You all assume that a Victorian Era game would be bad. But I think it would be good! It would be fun, as long as they detail the map enough (ie. France being only one province). They also shouldn't do anymore of that money grabbing shit that they're starting with Shogun 2 FOTS, @slydessertfox can explain that in more detail.
