So what about someone who can't pay for a private education? Why should they be forced into going into horrible public schools? If the government has the money to improve the public education system, then the people who can't pay for the better, private education system, will get a better education, and thus have a better chance at succeeding and becoming productive members of society. Also, if there are only private schools, the private schools will raise the cost of going to their school, and will not worry about keeping you there, because they would no that there is no other alternative. Essentially, it would cost more than what it costs in taxes.

The 9-9-9 plan was a tax plan made by presidential candidate Herman Cain. The entire tax code is reformed with a 9% income, 9% national sales, and 9% corporate tax. @Demondaze was acting very biased when he described it as communism, so he is not a fair person. Also, you only have to pay national sales when you buy something. You don't like the tax, then don't buy the object with it. Problem solved.

I would go with high taxes, simply because I trust the state more to look after me than a businessman.

I would also strongly oppose a flat rate of tax, it simply isn't fair on those with low incomes. Here in the UK, there is no income tax on salaries up to about £9000 a year, which syrely is much better, as it helps those on low incomes, whereas the highest tax bracket is 45%.

Also, VAT here is 20%, I had no idea it didn't exist elsewhere, and I don't know why people seem to be afraid of it. Taxes are all the same surely, they just leave you with less money and more services.

Those numbers are too low for my taste. (I know he wasn't being serious btw)

We have something I think would be the equivalent of the VAT (Impuesto al Valor Agregado IVA), at 21%

VAT is a tax on most transactions and consumer goods, except for what are deemed essentials.
Essentials include such things as bread, tea and cake.

OH NO, NOT TAXES! THE ENEMY OF FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY! I mean we had a revolt that is still glorified and is a frequent topic in propaganda, based apon taxes. Remember kids, we revolted because the freedom-hating Brits were killing EVERYONE, not because we didn't want to pay our taxes.

just remember, anyone who taxes anyone is a communist, and anyone who is against conservatism is a Liberal Nazi Communist Muslim Jewish Martian.

When we got the income tax in 1913 the top rate was 7%. By 1980 the top rate was at 70%. A Liberal Congress & a Liberal President could easily run up that 9% sales tax to 90%.

Also there is the hidden tax of the value added tax. At every stage of production, you would be taxing that item 9%. That all gets jumbled up pretty darn quick.

Finally this isn't even his jobs plan. Its the man's tax plan. He is banking everything on this one plan, & puts jobs, the economy, foreign policy, etc on the back burner!

New jobs? Taxpayer. Fighting wars? Have the enemy pay you taxes. Economy? Tax. The environment? Tax the fucker. Immigration? Have them pay taxes. AND tax their homeland. Drugs? Legalise taxing it and tax the dealers.

The Liberals would need a 2/3 majority, that would be pretty hard. Also he believes in more of a non-interventionist plan policy. Cutting some regulations as well. This will allow the market to fix itself.

    Demondaze is just trolling

There is still more too it. He doesn't shut up about this plan. He never talks about over-regulation. He never talks about history. Hardly what even Obama is doing wrong! He doesn't shut up about this plan. That is why he is a joke candidate. "How far can I get if I use this 9-9-9 plan I thought of in a dream last night".

When he forgot where Libya was, he was questioned if that reassured the fact he didn't understand foreign policy. He just said 9-9-9...

Not exactly HistoryGenius. The same thing happened in 1980, it can happen to Cain's plan. Also you didn't address the hidden taxes.
