Gay Green Lantern

Apparently the newest version of the DC comic "Earth 2" they plan on making the original Green Lantern(from the 40's) into an all new gay persona now in this article the "The One Million Moms" organization gets exceptionally pissed at this idea. Saying something about brainwashing and gay is not ok. Anyways, What do you guys think of this I say yeah thats fine but at least be creative and make a new charecter dont recycle, show some flair for creativity. What do you guys think?

I agree, I'm fine with the idea of a homosexual Superhero, but they should make a new character instead of using an old one.

Agreed, I'm fine with a gay superhero, but why do they need to remake a traditional hero into something else? It would be much better if they made a whole new character.

On topic this is a fine idea. No agenda is being shoved down anyone's throats. There are millions of different comics. No one is forcing you to purchase this one. That is like saying if I made a film in which the lead was a homosexual I was shoving my agenda down your throat.

However according to your logic I should be able to shut them down just because they are furthering a cause or pushing an agenda while commenting on something else!

I think as long as they are not just doing for the sake of having a gay superhero, instead of a well developed character who so happens to be gay, I'm fine. Though, just saying, Marvel is better.
