Exactly. He thinks that most Muslims will betray the Constitution if put in positions of power. Here he is DEFENDING his comments.

Here was the top comment for that video.

" I'm an American Muslim, and I consider this man an uneducated, xenophobic fool. Where is he getting the assumption that all Muslims are against democracy and favor an Islamic state in an Islamic country? Many Muslims in the Middle East are dying for democracy in their countries, and Muslims here in America want freedom, democracy and equality just like any other person."

He said in his book, "I will want to make sure that anyone, of any religion, serving in my administration - who is, of course, serving the people of our nation - is committed to our Constitution."

I say he should pick Nikki Haley... simply because she is not really good at anything other than cutting funding to crucial public services. Such as the funding to our totally not strained Emergency Services Departments (Police are Corrupt, Firefighters aren't paid amply for their duty, and EMS doesn't even have the funds to replace their equipment... in fact their losing equipment due to her cutting.)

She's totally the woman for the job. Totally, no way anyone could be better... Totally.

Nikki Haley would end up like Palin. She is way to inexperienced.

Exactly, thats why he should pick her! The faster she gets out of politics the better, she's ruining our state and laying the foundation for a disaster of basic societial systems here.

The only difference between her and Palin is that her idoicy isn't odvious... and she is more than likely extremely intellectually enlightened compared to Palin's extensive lack of brain-power.

Oh Nikki Haley isn't an idiot. She knows how to play the game. She sucked the Tea Party so she could get elected & then abandoned them when Romney took interest in her.

Try, she did run with Tea Party during her election campaign (and she got elect that way, much to my family's dismay). But she just abadoned the Tea Party as soon as she got into the Gov. Mansion. She indeed, she can play the political wheel of coat-tail riding.

Yeah, I guess for that I'll give her a mediocre intellectual rating now that I examine it... but still, she's just destroying our shit here.

That's her on day one of her term...

Well she is only intelligent in the skill of getting elected. With her South Carolina is a garden & she is a weed whacker.

I don´t know why historygenius created this thread. Mitt Romney did not even won the GOP nomination.

That is what you get when you see the news in the estabilishement media.

Yeah but the only other guy in the race is the irrelevant Ron Paul. Elephant Watcher gave him a 0% chance of winning the nomination. Donald Trump had a better chance to win with 1%. Romney's victory is inevitable unless he dies or something.

Oh really? In many states that Romney won by popular vote, Ron Paul won many of the delegates of those states.

He is irrelevant? He is the only candidate who still faces Romney. He has more popular support then any of the other candidates and there is proof that the Republican Party has been doing anything to create prejudice against Ron Paul and it´s supporters. If he was irrelevant, that would not happen. Many states where popular vote was already made, delegate count still did not occured.

Ron Paul won recently the delegate count in Louisiana (2nd June), gaining 17 of the 23 delegates. And the mainstream media did not spoke about it.

Stop listening to the lying media.

I don't think Elephant Watcher is anything mainstream, but he has a 0% chance of winning and they weren't waiting for the convention. There analysis of him was:

    Strengths:
    1. Paul is a symbol of the Libertarian movement. His supporters are loyal and enthusiastic.
    2. Paul's views on foreign policy enable him to appeal to a group most GOP hopefuls cannot.
    Weaknesses:
    1. Paul is viewed by some voters, at worst, a joke or a party crasher, and at best, not a serious candidate. Even many Paul supporters believe his purpose is to influence the debate rather than win the nomination.
    2. Though many Republicans are skeptical of America's role as the "police of the world," Paul won many enemies in the 2008 race for nomination when saying US foreign policy was to blame for 9/11 (he even got booed in some of these debates).
    3. Paul is in his 70s, many people are skeptical of hiring an older politician who can die in office.
    4. Paul's unusual speaking style those more to hinder, rather than help, his cause.

He never rose above 0%. Forget him.

I think Herman Cain would actually hurt Mitt Romney more, as a Vp. Im surprised no one has brought up that scandal of his where he was cheating on his wife. Stuff like that usually kill's your electability. I mean hell look at John Edwards and Newt Gingrich.

I wouldn't pick Bachman either, she's crazy her and her Husband think that you can send gay's to a "Rehab" type facility and " Fix" them. And she didn't even win the vote in her home state of Iowa !

Santorum: Is just odd, I don't think I need to go more into it.

This analysis has nothing to do with reality. Elephant watcher is not correct. It is part of the mainstream GOP.

The ranking of it says that Romney is in front of Obama. And Obama would totally beat Romney.

That sexual harassment story was false and is one of the stupidest things ever.

Unlike gruntled Libertarians who get over upset when their only guy in the race will lose (Neville Chamberlain 2.0), I understand that the election is months away and anything can happen.

Even so, it's hard to forget what someone say's about someone. For example Michael Jackson, and his trial. Even though he was found not guility, it still stained his name big time. So I guess the question is, would you really want someone that has such a big stain on their name ? Do you really want someone who thinks of your campaign, think of your buddy who was accused of cheating on his wife ?
