    The biggest problem with this is that the comic book industry is dominated by straight white males who have no idea how to write non-straight white males. The Greg Ruckas and Gail Simones are few and far between. I mean seriously, the biggest recent debut of a gay character is Bunker for crying out loud. Bunker sucks, it's like the PC Police came in and installed him to plague us all with his presence.
    This and the upcoming Northstar wedding are nothing but pathetic attempts by Marvel and DC to pander to other groups and get pointless mainstream media coverage that no one is going to pay attention to. It's them trying to say how up to date and relevant to the times they are when the reality is that they are years behind on how to view the LGBT community. This form of condescension is one of the most insulting things a person can do to one another.

    Came in to this thread having misread "Gay" as "Gray", and was prepared to rage. (Gray Lantern sounded fucking retarded in my head.)

    Anyways, superheroes have always been gay. Why should it be any different now?
